Can we use your Sound system for the entirety of our event if we book you?

The sound system we provide for our performance is available for use throughout the entirety of the event for those who have selected the Diamond Wedding Package. For those who selected Silver or Platinum Packages, you will need be able to use the sound equipment for background music, etc. up until to provide your own sound equipment for anything other than The Parlor Pickers’ performance.

Can you move the sound system anywhere on site if we need it for the ceremony, etc.?

Our sound system is incredibly heavy and complex making us unable to move it to other locations once it has been set up for the performance. If you need additional sound reinforcement somewhere else at your venue we are more than happy to provide an additional PA at the cost of the More Powerful PA Fee ($500) found on our Weddings page.

How many people can your Sound system reach?

Our sound system is designed to reach 150-175 people in an indoor space, like a banquet hall, etc.

the area the band will be playing is outside, will your sound system work outside?

Our sound system is designed to reach 150-175 people in an indoor space like a banquet hall, brewery, etc. If the space for dancing and reception is outdoors, you may need to add sound system elements to accommodate the sound that gets lost in an outdoor setting. Thankfully we make it easy for you and leave no guesswork on the price of that additional equipment. The fee is $500 to rent the additional sound equipment needed to accommodate an outdoor space.

Cocktail Hour will be held somewhere other than where our reception is going to be. Do we need an additional sound system (PA) for that location?

The simple answer is yes, that scenario would require the More Powerful PA Fee of $500 if the cocktail hour location and the reception performance areas are different.

Do you provide your own power or a generator if no power is available?

Electricity to power our sound system must be provided by the venue and is not provided by The Parlor Pickers.

How much space does the band take up during the reception performance?

Generally we will need a space 10’ wide by 15’ long accommodate ourselves and our sound equipment.

What time does the band show up to set up?

The Parlor Pickers arrive 1.5 hours before the event begins to set up and get ready for the festivities.

Can the band show up earlier?

If you need the Pickers to arrive earlier than this, we are more than happy to do so! The Early Arrival Fee is $300.

Can We Add Items To Our Package?

You are more than welcome to add items on to your chosen package. Simply go to the Weddings page and select which items you’d like to add from the “Add-Ons” section.

Can we remove items Our Package?

We were very intentional about creating the most value possible for a wedding couple when creating our specific packages. Each of these packages is designed to provide the maximum value at the lowest price possible for that tier. Because of this, we are unfortunately not able to subtract elements from each package to produce a lower priced package. If certain elements of a package don’t fit the needs of your wedding, you are more than welcome to mention it and we will be happy to omit those features (Please note again that removal of package features will not result in a lower price).

Can we provide our own background music during the reception and cocktail hour?

Absolutely! Just make sure the playlist is on a device that contains a headphone jack and you are good to go!

I have older folks and kids at my wedding, are you family friendly?

We pride ourselves on being able to entertain audiences both young and old without what some may deem as offensive language. The saltiest our music gets is a rowdy “hell yeah!” here and there. If you’d prefer we use the phrase “oh yeah!” instead, we are more than happy to accommodate that need.
